Girls Getaway Seattle/Vancouver

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with one of my friends from college! We took our annual girls trip to Seattle and Vancouver this year! It was a fun, exhausting, whirlwind weekend!

Our first day in Seattle we walked to Pike Place Market and had a fantastic breakfast and cup of coffee.  No trip to Seattle is complete without a stop at the original Starbucks! Then we had our free walking tour around the city. After the tour we walked over to the Space Needle and Science Center. If that wasn't enough for one day we topped it off with dinner at the Space Needle. Here are a few shots from our first day!

Day 2 was Vancouver! Sarah and I woke up very early to catch our train to Vancouver. Taking the trip on Amtrak was a fun experience. The scenery was gorgeous. Once we arrived in Vancouver we dropped our bags at the hotel and headed out to Stanley Park before catching our shuttle to Capilano. Capilano was breathtaking. Walking the suspension bridge was an experience in itself, especially when you have a group of 10 year old boys running and jumping on it for fun while you sway back and forth!  After Capilano we walked around Gastown and Cinatown before having dinner at Granville Island.

Day 3 was another early day at the train station to head back to Seattle for our last day! Once we arrived back in town we took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island for lunch. Bainbridge was a lot larger than I expected but the downtown area was still cute. There wasn't much time left in Seattle so we tried the Experience Music Project Museum our tour guide had recommended on day one. We finished up the trip before our red eye flights with a wonderful dinner at Purple.

Did I mention we walked 24 miles in three days? We had a blast but decided that our next trip might have to be spa and shopping!
